Paint Prep in Irvine and Orange County
Paint preparation brings a drywall surface to a state where primer will bond and absorb evenly. That means the specified finish level is achieved, there are no ridges or gouges, and all sanding dust has been removed from the surface.

About Paint Prep
Paint prep is where two trades meet, and it is where responsibility most often gets fumbled. The drywall contractor says the wall is ready. The painter says it is not. The client is caught between them, usually after the schedule has already slipped.
We remove the ambiguity by working to a defined standard and verifying it before handoff. The surface meets its specified finish level. There are no ridges at joints or bead lines. There are no gouges or torn paper from oversanding. And there is no dust, which is the item most often skipped and the one that causes paint adhesion to fail months later.
We check all of it under raking light, because raking light finds what room light hides, and we would much rather find a problem ourselves than have your painter find it with a sprayer already loaded.
Paint prep does not mean priming. Priming is normally the painter s first coat and it is also the moment any remaining defect becomes visible, which is precisely why the surface has to be right beforehand.
