We name the finish level in writing
Level 4 and Level 5 are very different amounts of work and very different prices. A quote that does not name one is not comparable to a quote that does.
Stating it in writing means you, we, and your painter are working from the same specification rather than from three different assumptions. It also means a cheaper competing quote can be understood for what it usually is: a different scope rather than a better price.

We sample texture before it touches your wall
Texture matching is the single thing that determines whether a repair disappears or announces itself, and it is the step most commonly skipped.
We spray a sample onto a test board, hold it against your wall in the room s own lighting, adjust the compound consistency, pressure, nozzle and distance, and get your approval before anything goes on the repair. If we cannot achieve a match that will genuinely disappear, we tell you before starting rather than after.
Dust control is standard, not an upsell
Dust is the number one complaint about drywall work and the leading cause of low star reviews in this trade. It is also almost entirely preventable.
Containment barriers at every opening, HVAC vents and returns sealed in the work area, HEPA vacuum extraction at the sanding head, walk off matting, and cleanup at the end of every day. None of that is exotic. It is just done rather than skipped.
We inspect under raking light before handoff
A bright light held almost flat against a surface reveals ridges, dips, and texture variation that normal room lighting completely hides. It is the only honest quality test for finished drywall.
We run it from the direction of every window in the room, because a surface that reads clean from one angle can show clearly from another. Anything the light finds gets corrected before we hand over. We would much rather find it than have your painter find it.
We tell you when you do not need something
Not every room needs a Level 5 finish. Not every small hole needs a drywall contractor. Not every wall benefits from soundproofing if the door is the actual problem.
Saying so costs us work in the short term and it is the reason people call us back.
