Dustless Drywall Sanding
Containment and HEPA Sanding
Containment and HEPA sanding are two complementary controls. Containment barriers physically isolate the work area, while HEPA vacuum extraction captures dust at the sanding head. Used together they prevent the large majority of dust migration.

About Containment and HEPA Sanding
These two controls do different jobs and they are most effective together. Containment stops dust leaving the work area. HEPA extraction stops it becoming airborne in the first place. Either alone helps; both together is what makes an occupied space genuinely liveable during the work.
On larger or more sensitive jobs we add air filtration inside the containment, which pulls air through a HEPA filter and can maintain slight negative pressure so any air movement is inward rather than outward. That is the same principle used in remediation work, applied at a proportionate scale.

Why this matters
- Sealed barriers at every opening into the work area
- Source capture at the sanding head
- Air filtration and negative pressure on sensitive jobs
- HVAC returns sealed so dust does not enter the system

How we work
Our Process
How a containment and hepa sanding project runs from first contact through final walkthrough.
Step 1: Assess and Scope
We walk the space, assess existing conditions, and confirm exactly what the containment and HEPA sanding work needs to achieve.
Step 2: Written Estimate
A clear written scope covering inclusions, exclusions, materials, finish level, and a realistic schedule.
Step 3: Protect and Contain
Floors, furnishings, and adjacent areas protected, with containment installed before any dust producing work.
Step 4: Execute
The containment and HEPA sanding work carried out with quality checked at each stage rather than only at the end.
Step 5: Clean and Walk Through
Full cleanup and debris removal, then a walkthrough with you before we consider the work complete.
