Drywall Installation
High Ceiling Drywall Installation
High ceiling drywall covers installations above standard height, typically two story entries, great rooms, and commercial spaces. The work requires scaffolding or lifts, larger crews for sheet handling, and finishing judged from a viewing distance that changes which imperfections matter.

About High Ceiling Drywall
High ceilings change the job in two ways. First, everything takes longer because every sheet, every bucket, and every tool has to be moved up and down. Second, the finish gets judged from twenty or thirty feet away rather than from three, which changes what actually matters.
At that distance, small surface texture variation disappears. What does not disappear is a wavy plane, a visible butt joint running across the field, or a crooked line where the ceiling meets a wall. So we prioritize plane and line over micro texture, and we plan sheet layout accordingly.
Safety is the other half. Proper staging or lifts, not ladders stacked on furniture. This is the part of high ceiling work where cutting corners causes injuries.

Why this matters
- Correct staging or lift equipment, not improvised access
- Crew sized for safe sheet handling at height
- Layout that keeps butt joints out of open sight lines
- Finish judged from the actual viewing distance
