Drywall Texturing
Custom Texture Matching
Texture matching replicates an existing wall or ceiling texture so a repair blends invisibly into the surrounding surface. It requires identifying the texture type and then matching compound consistency, application method, and timing through sampling rather than estimation.

About Custom Texture Matching
Texture matching is the skill that separates a repair you notice from a repair you do not. Everything else about a patch can be done correctly, the backing, the tape, the compound coats, the sanding, and the repair will still be obvious from across the room if the texture is even slightly off.
The reason it goes wrong so often is that people treat it as a product problem rather than a process problem. There is no can of spray texture that matches your wall. What matches your wall is the right compound thinned to the right consistency, through the right nozzle, at the right pressure, from the right distance, worked at the right moment.
Our process is simple and it is the part most contractors skip: we spray a sample board, hold it against your wall, and adjust until it matches. Only then do we touch the repair. If we cannot get a match that will genuinely disappear, we tell you before starting and discuss retexturing the full wall instead of delivering a patch you will notice every day.

Why this matters
- Sampled and compared against your actual wall before application
- Adjusted for consistency, pressure, nozzle, distance, and timing
- Approved by you before we commit to the repair
- Honest recommendation when a full wall retexture is the better result
- Works across orange peel, knockdown, skip trowel, and hand applied patterns
How we work
Our Process
How a custom texture matching project runs from first contact through final walkthrough.
Step 1: Identify the Existing Texture
We examine the surrounding surface closely to identify the texture type, the grain size, and how heavily it was applied.
Step 2: Sample and Approve
We spray a sample board, adjust mud consistency, pressure, and timing until it matches, and show it to you before committing.
Step 3: Protect and Mask
Texture spray travels. Floors, trim, fixtures, and adjacent surfaces are fully masked before any material is sprayed.
Step 4: Apply and Work
Texture is applied to the approved sample specification and worked at the correct moment, which is what determines the final profile.
Step 5: Inspect and Clean
Once dry we check the match under the room lighting, correct anything that reads differently, and clean the space fully.
