# Small Drywall Patch Repair

Small patch repair covers damage under about three inches: anchor holes, screw holes, small dents, and minor punctures. Even at this size, the finish work matters more than the fill, because an unmatched texture makes a small patch just as visible as a large one.

Small patches are the most commonly attempted DIY drywall repair and the most commonly visible one afterward. The filling part is easy. What gives it away is a flat spot in a textured wall, or a slight dome where the compound was applied too thick in one pass.

The method is the same as any repair, just smaller: fill in thin coats rather than one thick one, feather wider than feels necessary, and match the texture. Where you have many small holes across a room, doing them together is far more efficient than one at a time.

## Why this matters

- Thin coats rather than one thick fill, so nothing domes or shrinks
- Feathered wider than the damage so no ring shows
- Texture matched to the wall
- Efficient pricing when several small repairs are done together

## Our Process

1. **Survey**: We find every small repair in the space so nothing gets missed.
2. **Scope**: Priced by area and count, which is far better value than per hole.
3. **Protect**: Floors and furnishings protected.
4. **Fill**: Thin coats built with dry time between, feathered wide.
5. **Match**: Texture matched, sanded with dust control, and cleaned.

## What's Included

- Survey of all small damage in the area
- Surface preparation
- Multi coat fill with dry time
- Feathering and texture matching
- Dust controlled sanding and cleanup

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Is it worth calling a contractor for a few small holes?

For two or three holes in a flat painted wall, probably not. Where it is worth it is when the wall has texture that needs matching, when there are many holes across several rooms, or when the wall is in critical light and a DIY patch will show. Rental turnovers and pre sale prep are the common cases.
