# Texture Match Patching

Texture match patching combines a structural drywall patch with a texture that is sampled and matched to the surrounding surface. It is the difference between a repair that is technically sound and a repair that is actually invisible.

This is the service most people actually want when they ask for a drywall patch. They are not asking for the hole to be filled. They are asking to stop being able to see where the hole was.

Doing that reliably means treating the texture as the main event rather than an afterthought. We sample onto a board, compare it against your wall in the room s own light, adjust, and get your approval before anything is sprayed on the repair. That sequence is what makes the difference, and it is what most patch work skips.

## Why this matters

- Texture treated as the primary objective, not a final afterthought
- Sampled and compared in your room s actual lighting
- Your approval before anything is applied to the wall
- Honest advice when a full wall retexture will look better

## Our Process

1. **Assess Damage and Texture**: We evaluate both the repair and the texture that has to be matched.
2. **Scope**: Written price that explicitly includes texture matching and sampling.
3. **Patch**: Structural repair completed, taped, coated, and feathered wide.
4. **Sample and Approve**: Sample boards prepared, compared in the room, and approved by you.
5. **Apply and Verify**: Texture applied, then checked once dry under the room s own lighting.

## What's Included

- Structural patch with backing and perimeter taping
- Wide feathering of the compound
- Texture identification and sample boards
- Side by side comparison and your approval
- Application and post dry verification
- Dust controlled sanding and cleanup

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Is texture matching included in a standard patch price?

With us it is stated explicitly in the written scope either way, so there is no ambiguity. Be careful with quotes that do not mention it. Texture matching is real additional work, and a price that seems low often means it was not included.
