If a ceiling is sagging or bulging, keep people out from underneath it, because a water loaded ceiling can come down suddenly and gypsum is heavy. If there is any chance of water contacting electrical circuits, turn off the affected circuits at the panel. ## Who you actually need first Being direct about this saves time and money. For active flooding or standing water, you need a water extraction and drying company before you need us, because installing new board into a wet cavity guarantees doing the work twice. For significant mold growth, you need a licensed remediation contractor first. We will tell you if what we find is beyond a small surface area rather than closing a wall over it.
